TGM Quiz Instructions

This guide explains the full teacher and student workflow for the TGM Quiz feature.

How to create a quiz

  1. Open TGM Quiz in the nav and select Create a Quiz.
  2. Add a title and description, then save.
  3. Add questions in the Questions page. You can use Multiple Choice, True/False, or Short Text.
  4. For Short Text questions, add accepted answers in the answer guide. Use one answer per line.
  5. You can reorder questions with Move Up and Move Down controls.

How to assign a quiz

  1. Go to My Quizzes and click Create Assignment Link Code.
  2. Optionally add a class name and due date.
  3. Optionally add an access code for extra security.
  4. Optionally add a Teacher Identification Code. This helps you identify the assignment more easily and adds another layer of security.
  5. Choose whether students can see scores and correct answers.
  6. Save to generate a join code for students.
  7. After creating the assignment, open View Results to access the unique QR code for that join code.

The Teacher Identification Code is optional. It can help teachers organise assignments and gives an extra check before students begin.

How students complete a quiz

  1. Students open Student Entry, click Do a quiz on the home page, or scan the assignment QR code from their teacher.
  2. They enter the join code and access code (if one is set).
  3. They enter their first name, initials, or nickname only.
  4. If your class is using a Teacher Identification Code, they can enter that too. This is optional and helps the teacher identify the assignment more clearly while adding another layer of security.
  5. After submitting, they see results based on your assignment settings.

How to view results

  1. Open Assignments to find each join code and class.
  2. Use View Results for detailed attempt-by-attempt responses.
  3. Use the assignment QR code in the results page so students can scan and open quiz entry with the join code pre-filled.
  4. Use Results Dashboard for averages, totals, and filtering by quiz or assignment.
  5. Export CSV when you need offline records.

How to sell a quiz or quiz bundle

  1. Open Sell a Quiz.
  2. To sell a single quiz, select one quiz and click Add.
  3. To sell a quiz bundle, select up to 10 quizzes and click Add.
  4. The product form opens with title and description prefilled.
  5. Complete pricing and marketplace details, then submit.

How purchased quizzes work

  1. Purchased/free quizzes appear in Quiz Library.
  2. Use Assign from the library to create your classroom assignment.
  3. Purchased copies are read-only so buyers cannot edit seller content.
  4. Assignments and results are always tied to your own generated join codes.

Privacy note: TGM Quiz does not collect student email addresses or other personal information. Students only enter a first name, initials, or nickname, and may optionally enter a Teacher Identification Code if their teacher uses one. Students should not enter their surname, and it is not asked for.
