The Lost Trail
While hiking through a national park, Ethan and his cousin followed a trail that led deep into the forest. Towering trees surrounded them, blocking much of the sunlight, and the path gradually became narrower and less defined as they continued walking.
After some time, they noticed that the trail markers had disappeared. Without the markers to guide them, Ethan began to feel uneasy and realized they might have wandered off the correct path.
Fortunately, Ethan remembered an important strategy he had learned during a school outdoor safety lesson. Instead of continuing forward and risking becoming more lost, he suggested that they stop and think carefully about their situation.
They decided to retrace their steps, paying close attention to their surroundings as they walked back the way they had come. After a short time, they spotted the last trail marker and were able to return safely to the correct path.
Ethan realized that staying calm, thinking clearly, and using prior knowledge can help solve challenging situations.
